Willdata is designed to facilitate the retrieval of the most up to date
information concerning the whereabouts of an individuals Will.
Willdata is reliant upon the accuracy and completeness of information
supplied by others at the time of registration. Whilst every effort will
be made to regularly monitor and update the information supplied appropriate
steps should be taken by users to verify the reliability of the information
and where possible obtain legal/professional advice before acting upon
it.
Willdata expressly disclaim liability for loss/damage whether direct,
indirect or consequential upon the use of this website resulting directly
or indirectly from inaccuracies, defects, errors; typographical or otherwise,
omissions, out of date information or otherwise.
Information and access to Willdata is gained entirely at the users own
risk. The user is therefore responsible for any resulting damage to software/computer
systems or loss of data.
No liability is accepted for the accuracy or otherwise of websites operated
by third parties and recommended by Willdata.
Registration
Willdata operates a registration system and by registering you undertake
to register accurate and up to date information about you including your
name, address and other information so requested. If registration is by
a professional body they will undertake to provide this information on
your behalf.
Upon submitting your Registration Application Willdata levy a one off
payment. This is a nominal and non-refundable fee to cover administration
costs but Willdata reserve the right to increase this fee from time to
time. Any increases will be clearly advertised on the website and users
will be informed at the time of registration.
Verification of registration will be provided by email where possible,
otherwise by post.
Search Facility
As well as providing a registration system to record the whereabouts of
a Will, Willdata also operate a search facility whereby an individual/Professional
body can search for the whereabouts of a Will.
Upon submitting your Search Application an additional payment will be
requested. This is a nominal and non-refundable payment to cover administration
costs but Willdata reserve the right to increase this fee from time to
time. Any increases will be clearly advertised on the website and users
will be informed at the time of application.
To reduce the scope for fraud Willdata will operate a two tier search
application procedure. Upon receipt of a search application from an individual,
Willdata will only confirm that the Will has been registered and that
details of its location are available. This is known as a 'level one'
application.
If the 'level one' application is positive a 'level two' application can
then be made. This must be accompanied by a Certified Death Certificate.
Once verified, all details held by Willdata will then be released. For
security and for your peace of mind, under no circumstances will Willdata
release information until these procedures have been followed.
Privacy
Access to your personal details will be limited in accordance with the
terms of the Data Protection Act 1998 for which Willdata are registered
controllers of information. Please refer to www.dataprotection.gov.uk
for further information and clarification.
Given the nature of the World Wide Web Willdata is accessible to global
Internet users. Whilst Willdata will ensure your privacy is maintained
to the best of our ability, by agreeing to the terms set out herein you
are consenting to the way in which Willdata handles your personal data.

Complaints
Willdata aims to deal with all applications whether for registration or
retrieval of information as efficiently and quickly as possible. However
