Please read these terms and conditions carefully, they contain important information about your rights and obligations.

As well as providing a registration system to record the whereabouts of a Will, Willdata also operate a search facility whereby an individual/Professional body can search for the whereabouts of a Will.

Upon submitting your Search Application a payment of £10.00 (including VAT) will be requested. This is a nominal and non-refundable payment to cover costs but Willdata reserve the right to increase this fee from time to time. Any increases will be clearly advertised on the website and users will be informed at the time of application.

Upon receipt of a search application from an individual, Willdata will only confirm registration of the Will. To reduce the scope for fraud Willdata will only release the location of the Will on receipt of a certified Death Certificate and the search release fee (£20.00 including VAT). The location of the Will is normally released within 1 working day.

If the initial search is unsuccessful Willdata will, at the company's discretion store the search request and re-submit the search at intervals on behalf of the 'searcher'. In addition Willdata will add the Will to the Missing Wills page on its websites. Those searching may choose whether they wish to take advantage of this benefit.
